AgrowNest is a visionary social enterprise dedicated to transforming Sub-Saharan Africa into a global agricultural powerhouse. Recognizing the region’s vast agricultural potential and the pressing need for food security, we aim to bridge the gap between abundant resources and widespread hunger. Despite the challenges posed by insecurity, we believe that sustainable agribusiness solutions can empower communities and promote economic development. As an example, despite the DR Congo possessing over 80 million hectares of arable land, four million hectares of irrigated land, and vast fishery resources, the country faces severe food insecurity, with over 23 million people in crisis and 4.5 million children acutely malnourished. AgrowNest aims to bridge this gap by leveraging agribusiness to produce food locally and create sustainable livelihoods.
